Singapore ranks 142nd in Global Slavery Index 2013

Global Slavery Index 2013

"The Global Slavery Index report is published by the Walk Free Foundation (“Walk Free”). Walk Free is committed to ending all forms of modern slavery in this generation. Modern slavery includes slavery, slavery-like practices (such as debt bondage, forced marriage and sale or exploitation of children), human trafficking and forced labour, and other practices described in key international treaties, voluntarily ratified by nearly every country in the world."
Singapore is ranked 142nd, not as good as the following countries: Mauritius, Canada, Panama, Costa Rica, Portugal, Spain, Cuba, Austria, Belgium, Greece, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, and Iceland. If you want to look at the good side, Singapore is better than 141 other countries.

Singapore has an estimated 1100-1200 slaves. Of course, the index does not count conscripts as slaves.
