Obama supports single-issue voters. Great idea for basic income activists.

Obama on minimum wage
"If your member of Congress doesn’t support raising the minimum wage, you’ve got to let them know they’re out of step, and that if they keep putting politics ahead of working Americans, you’ll put them out of office."

Activists pushing for an unconditional basic income or a citizen dividend should seriously consider forming single-issue voting blocks.

The beauty of BIG single-issue voters.

"If your member of Congress/Senate/Parliament/whatever doesn’t support a citizen dividend / unconditional basic income, you’ve got to let them know they’re out of step, and that if they keep putting politics ahead of working Americans/British/Koreans/Chinese/whatever, you’ll put them out of office."

Orders. Orders. Will Obama order a citizen dividend?

State of the Union: 'Let's make this a year of action':
While asking Congress for legislation on an immigration bill and a minimum wage hike, Obama also announced a variety of executive orders, including one to increase the minimum wage for some federal contract workers from $7.25 to $10.10 an hour.
"America does not stand still, and neither will I," Obama said. "So wherever and whenever I can take steps without legislation to expand opportunity for more American families, that's what I'm going to do."
Obama made many executive orders to address income inequality. He increased federal minimum wage through his executive orders. A minimum wage helps only those who are employed at the minimum wage. Is there any hope that Obama will give an executive order for a citizen dividend for all Americans?

Politically corrupt civil servants. What Obama did.

US Tax Chief quits over conservative tax scrutiny (May 2013)
The head of the US tax agency has quit after it emerged his staff singled out conservative groups for extra scrutiny, President Barack Obama has announced.
Treasury Secretary Jack Lew had asked for and accepted the resignation of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Acting Commissioner, he said.
"I will do everything in my power to make sure nothing like this happens again," Obama told a news conference.

A good citizen-ownership democracy needs a good democracy as the foundation.

In a short statement to reporters at the White House, President Obama said he had reviewed the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA) report on the IRS's targeting of conservative groups and found the "misconduct" uncovered was "inexcusable".

"Americans are right to be angry about it, and I am angry about it," he said. "I will not tolerate this kind of behaviour in any agency, but especially in the IRS, given the power that it has and the reach that it has into all of our lives."
"The IRS has to operate with absolute integrity."

Americans' chance for a citizen-ownership democracy. The Green Party's offer.

Alaska has partial citizen-ownership democracy for a few decades. Every year, every Alaskan gets a thousand dollars or more just from being a resident in Alaska and a co-owner of their oil wealth.

Do Americans want a citizen-ownership income? The chance is here.

If they want, they should vote for the Green Party. The Green Party of the United States.

This is taken from the Green Party Platform:

D. Livable Income

We affirm the importance of access to a livable income.

1. We call for a universal basic income (sometimes called a guaranteed income, negative income tax, citizen's income, or citizen dividend). This would go to every adult regardless of health, employment, or marital status, in order to minimize government bureaucracy and intrusiveness into people's lives. The amount should be sufficient so that anyone who is unemployed can afford basic food and shelter. State or local governments should supplement that amount from local revenues where the cost of living is high.

The Green Party's Presidential candidate is Dr. Jill Stein.  http://www.jillstein.org/

Are the Americans so captivated by debate words, those of Obama and Romney, that they will forgo cash dividends year after year?

If only every country, UK, India, Canada, Switzerland, Brazil, Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, France, etc., has a political party that offers citizen income on its political platform.
