$8,000 per annum per inhabitant

UBI and the Flat Tax:

"$8,000 per annum per inhabitant, or $25,000 for a family of three."

That is the amount of Universal Basic Income that Herbert A. Simon, 1978 winner of the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences, advocates for the USA.

He argues that it is justice to tax the rich more.

This is different from a citizen-ownership income where citizens share in the common wealth of their country. We see from the Singapore example that it can easily distribute a $9,000 per annum dividend from common wealth to every citizen.
